This plein air painting was completed during the 2026 Ripley County Plein Air Paint Out Fast Draw, just outside of Versailles State Park's Nature Center. After a late start, the artist decided not to enter the piece into the competition and instead invested extra time that evening to complete the piece to her satisfaction. Her main focus was her energetic brushstrokes, and capturing the vibrancy of the flowers.
